Program Summary:

Financial literacy is extremely important for all ages and is a topic we take seriously at Community Bank N.A. We offer a variety of financial literacy classes across our four-state footprint that range from materials for pre-k students to adults because we want to help our neighbors make sound financial decisions through all stages of life.

Our offerings are geared toward life events that are age appropriate. For example, with pre-k students, we talk about making spending decisions. If you have a set amount of money, what can you buy for that? As students get older, we focus on wants vs. needs, and reviewing ads to be able to make educated choices on comparing products. When teaching high-school and adults, our offerings change to budgeting and identity protection.

We reach out to schools and nonprofits regularly to establish partnerships and determine how best to work together. Once we make the connection, we are often asked to come back for subsequent years or to additional grade levels.
