Program Name: Gift of Knowledge

Program Summary:

The Gift of Knowledge is a Comerica Bank youth financial education incentive program, which started in the bank's corporate headquarters market of Dallas in December 2016. Students served by targeted community partners are rewarded with $25-50 of seed money to open their savings account upon completion of the Comerica Money $ense curriculum. These modules equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to successfully navigate the increasingly complex financial world. Gift of Knowledge participants also have access to banking personnel and the opportunity to tour Comerica banking centers.

For the past decade, Comerica has collaborated with Dallas nonprofit Project Still I Rise to empower youth through financial education, including the last three Gift of Knowledge events. In the spring of 2017, the program expanded to include Big Thought and Dallas City of Learning through an innovative public-private partnership with the City of Dallas to teach the importance of financial education to youth during the summer. The bank also launched Gift of Knowledge in its San Antonio Market in February 2019 in partnership with Ella Austin Community Center.
