Program Summary:

Giving back has always been an integral part of C&N’s DNA. Not just as a company, but the employees have a sense of social responsibility to help those in need around us. We’ve always taken pride in being an organization that gives back, but we wanted to do more. We wanted to take this culture of giving back and turn it into a focused effort that has the ability to make an even bigger impact and strengthen our local communities. We decided to focus our efforts on a single cause of our employees choosing to rally behind for an entire year and we called it “Giving Back, Giving Together.” We began in March of 2015 by supporting our local food banks and as always, our employees rallied together to defy all expectations. At the onset of the program, we set a goal of $10,000 for the year and within 3 months, our employees had already raised $12,000. We raised the bar to $25,000, which they again passed, finally finishing out the year with $50,000 in monetary donations to 22 local food banks, five times our original goal! We’ve gone on to support our local emergency services and under-privileged children raising a grand total of more than $182,000 in monetary donations, donated 14,264 needed items and volunteered 399 times. In 2018, we partnered with our local libraries to support education and literacy in our communities and to spotlight all the incredible services our libraries provide.
