Program Summary:

Dacotah Bank has dedicated its time and talent to engage older Americans by providing educational resources to aid in the prevention of financial crimes. In 2016 it became Dacotah Bank’s mission to develop a robust program to educate older Americans. Dacotah Bank’s program promotes fraud awareness and prevention through three important aspects: fraud prevention seminars, educational reference materials and customer-focused technologies.

Dacotah Bank employees also play a critical role in the program and are committed to assisting with the identification and prevention of financial crimes. Education is an ongoing process and plays a large role in customer-employee interaction. Due to successful training and varying experiences with customers, employees are more alert to the signs of fraud and are confident in their role when assisting a customer in need. In addition, Dacotah Bank recognizes employees identifying fraud and preventing a customer from financial loss by rewarding employees with a gift, photo and the fraud prevention story displayed on Dacotah Bank’s internal website.
