Program Name: Women's Employment Network

Program Summary:

From its earliest days, Country Club Bank has been committed to serving the people and business of metropolitan Kansas City --the bank's hometown --through philanthropic endeavors and initiatives that move the city forward, focusing in particular on underserved populations. The bank's owners, leadership and associates have supported the Women's Employment Network (WEN) since the mid-200s through sponsorships, board service, mentoring and volunteer efforts. During the past year, the bank has ten that commitment to a new level by offering WEN multi-year use of a 9,000 square foot, three story building that formerly housed the bank's commercial and SBA lending divisions. The Women's Employment Network (WEN) is a nonprofit organization that works with women to raise their self-esteem and achieve academic independence through sustained employment. Wen's staff and volunteers provide training on workforce reentry skills such as resume writing, interviewing, wardrobe selection and building a professional network. The organization strives to advance positive change in the lives of women, their families and the community, one woman at a time.
