Redirecting Your Cybersecurity Threat Focus to Improve Bank-Wide Effectiveness

Cybersecurity threats remains a top risk for banks and despite the ever-present risk assessments to capture emerging risks, there is an urgent need for bankers to step back and redefine how we understand these threats in the context of the entire enterprise. We are honored to have Marsh Advisory’s Head of the Emerging Risks Group, Reid Sawyer, bring a new way of understanding cyber risk in a broader context that will help bankers, no matter their risk or compliance job role, stay on top of evolving cyber risks. First, Reid will provide an essential overview of changing regulatory requirements. He will then move on to provide a roadmap to understanding cyber risk’s impact on the entire bank’s ecosystem and how it intersects with each area of the bank. Finally, he will provide an updated outline of the significant economic value of cyber risk in all areas of the bank. This session is designed for both compliance and risk officers, from all bank sizes.

Speaker:
Reid Sawyer, Managing Director, Head, Emerging Risks Group, Marsh Advisory
